Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny, two a penny...

One of the best things about Easter would have to be hot cross buns! I love them.... In fact, whilst I know that it is always a bit nuts to see hot cross buns on sale from January, I think it's great!!!

Our bakery makes organic, sourdough hot cross buns which are amazing and a regular in our house this year. We have also taken to making our own apple & cinnamon hot cross buns using the Gourmet Traveller recipe and this makes around 20 - it is a great recipe and these have fast become my favourites!!!

Easter really is a great time, with loads of chocolate, hot cross buns and a long weekend there's really not a lot to dislike about Easter.
