Where does Mercatus deliver?
At the moment we deliver within a 20km radius of the CBD (GPO). Refrigerated door to door carrier service. If you area beyond our 20km zone and have a network of people (10 or more within a close proximity of each other) who want our great food delivered to there door, email us (customers@mercatus.com.au) and we will work with you to make it happen!
In the near future we will offer services beyond this 20km radius to include outer suburbs and regional areas. Don't forget, in the mean time if you do live outside our delivery range we are more than happy to deliver to your workplace (as long as it with 20km of the CBD).

When does Mercatus deliver?
We operate our delivery service Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately we are not able to offer delivery on Monday, Wednesday or Sunday as we are not able to obtain produce from all of our suppliers. We are hoping to change this in the near future and will keep you updated.
How soon can Mercatus deliver?
At the moment that depends on what area of Melbourne you live or work. A minimum of 24 hours is required from placement of your order to delivery. See the table below for information about our delivery days.
Please note: for some of our bakery products please allow plus 1 day for delivery. e.g. order Tuesday and receive on Thursday (please refer to our Bakery stall for details). This is due to the long baking process (9 hours) to deliver you beautiful sourdough!
Is there are minimum order?
Our minimum order is $40 excluding delivery fees. For further details please see our FAQs.
How will my products stay fresh?
We use our own refridgerated vans for deliveries. We have worked with temperature control professionals to meet the regulations of PrimeSafe who is a Statutory Authority operating under the Meat Industry Act 1993 and Seafood Safety Act 2003 to regulate the safety of meat, poultry and seafood across Victoria. You are guaranteed products are at a controlled temperature from the moment it leaves our warehouse to the moment it reaches you.
Please note: it is the responsibility of the customer to be present when you're delivery arrives. We do not take responsibility for items needing refrigeration once they have been delivered in the chosen allocated delivery timeslot.
Packaging of fruits and vegetables
Fruit and vegetables can be delicate little souls and we have tried several ways to avoid products from being damaged in transit. We use what we think is the best compromise between effectiveness, environmental friendliness and convenience.

Everything else should arrive loose or in non-woven Mercatus shopping bags
Packaging of meat and fish
Your meat and fish are prepared to order by the butcher/ fishmonger on their premises on the day of your delivery - they could not be fresher!

$15.00 Saturday (free above $150.00)
For orders of 3 or more, placed for delivery at the same time and same location delivery is free! (e.g. workplace Thursday 2pm – 5pm).
We also offer free delivery for 3 or more orders placed within the same street, with the same delivery time! (e.g. Tuesday 8am – 11am). Time to start talking to your neighbours!
